My great love – dogs

Turre

I’ve always loved dogs! As a child, long enough to go on, I got my first dog, who was a fox terrier. He was called Turre and was my dear playmate.

Turre was a wonderful character. He liked to sit on a kicksled and even a bicycle. I had my own little kicksled and when we left for the ice of the lake it ran alongside the moment, jumping soon on board. He loved to steal my mitten when we were playing in the winter and then ran away it in his mouth to get away from me. There wasn’t a dull moment with him ever.

In my great sorrow one spring, Turre escaped and apparently drowned to the lake. After that, I also had a cat named Taku, but it was never for me as dear as Turre was. When I grew up, I still dreamed of my own dog and finally, that wish came true.

Sunny

After I got married and when our children grew up we moved to the countryside. Then I decided to take a dog friend for my daughters. So on one beautiful summer’s day, we drove to get us a lovely snoopy tail. That dog was a mixed-race beauty and the smartest creature in the world. Sunny’s father was a long-haired German shepherd and the mother was a mixture of collie and hound. Because of its sunny nature, she was named Sunny. I must say that Sunny had certainly inherited all the best qualities and character traits of those breeds.

Sunny learned amazing things all by herself without teaching it. She learned to open the doors, climbed a tree once, and found her ball every time, even though it was thrown into the middle of the woods. There’d be plenty of stories about Sunny and her smartness, but I’ll leave them another time. Sunny lived for a respectable 14 years and brought us joy all her life.
